Belarus is due to host an investment forum in Minsk on September 29-30. Entitled “Broadening the Horizons: Investment, Finance, Development”, the forum will focus on innovations, inflow of foreign direct investments (FDI), and protection of intellectual property rights.
The major goal of the forum is to discuss relevant aspects of investment cooperation and attract the attention of potential investors to Belarus within the framework of an open dialogue between representatives of the Belarusian authorities, international financial institutions, foreign investors, national business and the expert community.
Forum participants are expected to develop a road map to set major directions for agreed actions to improve the institutional environment for expanding investment and funding opportunities. This will contribute to the development of public and private sector of the Belarusian economy.
The forum is expected to gather representatives of Rothschild, AKA Bank, KFW DEG, Google and Bloomberg, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the International Finance Corporation, the World Bank, the Nordic Investment Bank. (Prime-TASS/Business World Magazine)
