Since the start of the year the Belarusian mechanical engineering company Gomselmash has delivered 150 grain and forage harvesters to Ukraine, up by 50 vehicles YoY, the First Deputy Director of the company’s regional sales department Igor Korotkevich reported.
The exports mainly consisted of grain harvesters, including KZS-1218, KZS-812 that have already made a good showing in many countries. The Gomel company also supplied forage conservation complexes K-G-6 and self-propelled harvesters KSK-600.
The specialist added that unfortunately this was not the volume of trade the two countries had several years ago.
“We are ready to increase the sales. Ukraine is a big grain exporter and needs such equipment. Almost 70% of harvesters the country uses were produced in the last century. The problem is only in the lack of necessary funds to purchase the agricultural vehicles. At the same time this year’s momentum adds optimism. According to the concluded contracts, out southern neighbors will buy another 50 Belarusian harvesters before the end of the year”, he said.
Gomselmash is one of the largest manufacturers of agricultural machines in the CIS and Europe. The company makes it into the list of the world’s leading producers of harvesters and other agricultural vehicles, working under the trademark Palesse. Gomselmash produces 16 varieties of agricultural vehicles, 75 basic models and modifications, 70 types of adaptors and harvesting tools. (BelTA/Business World Magazine)
