The Belarusian automaker Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ trademark) will ship 100 buses to the Russian city of Kazan in the Republic of Tatarstan, representatives of the company said.
The Belarusian low-floor large-capacity buses MAZ 203 will be used to transport passengers during the world football championship that will take place in Kazan in 2018. The vehicles are modern and meet state-of-the-art technological and operational requirements. The entire batch is supposed to be delivered to the customer by the end of the year. The buses are already being assembled.
The buses are powered by Mercedes engines, which are compliant with Euro 5 pollution emission standards, and use ZF gearboxes. The buses are painted red upon the request of the customer.
MAZ has shipped a total of over 300 buses to Russia’s Tatarstan. They have earned a good reputation, this is why MAZ presence in the region is expanding.
In H1 2016 MAZ’s export rose by 47% in comparison with the same period of last year. MAZ vehicles are shipped to over 40 countries across the globe. Apart from conventional target markets, which include virtually all the CIS states, MAZ sells its products to the European Union, Africa, Latin America, the Persian Gulf and other regions.
