The agricultural holding Nibulon has put into operation a grain transshipment terminal on the river Southern Bug. The investments in construction totaled 450 million UAH, the press-service of the company declared.
According to the announcement, the simultaneous storing capacities at the terminal total 76 thousand tons of grains, the daily capacity of dryers – 4 thousand tons, the daily capacity of water transport loading – 12 thousand tons.
The General Director of Nibulon Oleksiy Vadaturskyy noted that the company didn’t fear any competition. They have designed a strategy for development of the company. In addition, Ukraine has good prospects of the general harvest at the level of 80-100 million tons of grains per year. The exports in the current year will reach 39 million tons. And the figures will continue rising to 60-70 million tons.
According to him, in 2015/2016 MY Nibulon exported 4.56 million tons of grains, and the company is ready to increase the index to 8 million tons.
The General Director added that local agrarians would receive additional income while selling their products at the transshipment terminal of Nibulon. In the current marketing year, the terminal plans to accept 0.5 million tons of grains. Nibulon has already completed the dredging works on the river Southern Bug to start transporting grains from Voznesensk to Mykolaiv. (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
