According to the regional agricultural departments, as of August 18, Kazakh agrarians harvested grains throughout 941.6 thousand ha, or 6.2% of the planned areas, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan declared.
As of the reporting date, agrarians produced 1.96 million tons of grains, up by 462 thousand tons YoY. The average yield totaled 2.08 t/ha (up by 0.47 t/ha).
In particular, agrarians of Almaty region harvested 569 thousand tons of grains, West Kazakhstan region – 189 thousand tons, Jambyl region – 580.3 thousand tons, Kyzylorda region – 8 thousand tons, South Kazakhstan region – 419.2 thousand tons, East Kazakhstan region – 130.5 thousand tons, Pavlodar region – 26.2 thousand tons, Aktobe region – 35.3 thousand tons, and Karaganda region – 3 thousand tons.
