Russia’s oil company Gazprom Neft has 130,000 tons of crude oil processed on the give-and-take basis at Mozyr NPZ oil refinery in H1 2016, down by 35% YoY.
Gazprom Neft has been supplying crude to Mozyr NPZ in accordance with the export schedule. The oil is shipped to Mozyr NPZ and the latter produces oil products for Gazpromneft-Belnefteprodukt, which exports those products and sells them on the Belarusian market.
As previously reported, Russian companies currently have only 6-7% of the total volume of crude oil supplied to Belarus processed by Belarusian refineries on the give-and-take basis, although the quota stands at 50%.
The decline in give-and-take processing has to do with the negative impact of Russia’s oil tax manoeuvre, which encourages vertically integrated companies to withdraw from oil refining and increase direct exports of crude oil.
In 2014 Russian companies had 42% of the total volume of crude supplies to Belarus processed by Belarusian refineries on the give-and-take basis.
In 2016 Russian oil deliveries to Belarus are facilitated by 8 companies: Rosneft, Surgutneftegaz, Tatneft, Russneft, Bashneft, Lukoil, TNK-BP and Gazprom Neft. (Prime-TASS/Business World Magazine)
