Over the first seven months of this year, the external trade turnover of Tajikistan, including electrical power, has amounted to about $2.21 billion, down by 8.1% YoY, or by $56.6 million, according the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.
The trade balance in January-July has been negative and amounted to more than $1.203 billion.
Exports of goods have reportedly amounted to $507.2 million, down by 7.2% or $39 million YoY.
Imports of goods have amounted to over $1.7 billion, down by 8.4% or $156.2 million YoY.
Over the first seven months of this year, Tajikistan has had trade relations with 101 countries of the world, including ten CIS nations.
Over the report period, major trading partners of Tajikistan were: Russia – ($578 million); China (nearly $545 million); Kazakhstan ($354.7 million); and Turkey ($174.4 million). (Asia-Plus/Business World Magazine)
