As of August 15, Belarus harvested more than 6,225,700 million tons of grain, the Agriculture and Food Ministry informed. Minsk Oblast is the leader with 1.6 million tons of grain so far. Brest Oblast has harvested 1.1 million tons, Gomel Oblast and Grodno Oblast – over 1 million tons each.
Mogilev Oblast has cropped 852,500 and Vitebsk Oblast – 536,300 tons. So far, 82.2% (1.8 million hectares) of the areas sown with grain crops have been harvested in Belarus. The average yield makes up 34.3 quintals per hectare. Belarusian agrarians have delivered 727,700 tons of grain as part of public procurement contracts, or 67% of the plan.
