The leasing company “Ilyushin Finance Co”. (IFC) has reduced the number of ordered Bombardier CS300 from 32 to 20 aircrafts. The delivery is expected in late 2018.
The parties explain this adjustments differently. According to Bombardier’s opinion Russian customers consider new market’s demands, but IFC refers to the Canadian export agency, which hasn’t provided cheap financing due to the sanctions against Russia.
In 2013 IFC signed the agreement to buy 32 CS300 aircrafts with an option for another ten aircrafts. In 2014 seven of this option have been transformed into the firm order. However now it comes only to 20 CS300 aircrafts and one turboprop Q400, the option gives an additional five Q400. This decision has been made due to the “current market demands”, Bombardier said.
