According to official data, as of August 8, farmers have threshed 17.663 million ha (37.4%) of grains and legumes against 15.6 million ha as of August 8, 2015. 62.526 MMT was harvested with average yield 3.54 MT/ha (48.414 MMT in 2015 with 3.1 MT/ha).
Wheat was threshed from 11.745 million ha (42.4%) against 11.326 million ha. Farmers gathered 45.675 MMT with average yield at 3.89 MT/ha (3.36 MT/ha in 2015).
Barley was harvested from 3.116 million ha (37.3%). Gross production reached 9.245 MMT, and the average yield was 2.97 MT/ha (2.62 MT/ha in 2015). (UkrAgroConsult/Business World Magazine)
