Proactive discussion of benefits for the mineral extraction tax (MET) on offshore fields is expected to start this fall, Russian Minister of Natural Resources Sergei Donskoi said.
“We have not yet discussed it in detail. However, I think more active discussion will start in fall”, Donskoi said.
Meanwhile, the ministry will support any project stimulating offshore operations, the minister said.
“Offshore projects require support. We will support any possible ways of incentivizing them”, he added. (TASS/Business World Magazine)
