Gross regional product of Ferghana region grew by 8.4% in the first six months of 2016. Industrial production of the region grew by 10.5%, consumer goods production – by 16.2%. construction materials – by 19.7%, agriculture production – by 6.3% and services – by 14.2%.
Ferghana region’s enterprises produced goods and services for almost 100 countries valued at $260.1 million.
Within the program of socio-economic development of Fergana region for 2016, about 1,140 projects were implemented in the fields of industry, agriculture and services, which helped create about 9 thousand new jobs.
The region’s 23 industrial enterprises realized 34 projects and territorial enterprises produced goods valued at 18.5 billion soums. (UzDaily/Business World Magazine)
