Presidents of Azerbaijan and Ukraine Ilkham Aliyev and Pyotr Poroshenko have discussed potential resumption of works within the Odessa-Brody pipeline project, Aliyev said at a joint press conference with Poroshenko.
“We’ve discussed the Odessa-Brody project and gave instructions to resume the project”, he said, adding that the project “is creating good opportunities.”
The Odessa-Brody pipeline was constructed in 2001 to connect Odessa on the Black Sea and the city of Brody in the Lvov Region though it has not been often used since then. It was planned to use the funds granted by Poland to complete the pipeline’s construction though the Polish state company PERN Przyjazn refused to participate. (TASS/Business World Magazine)
