In January-November of 2016 Kyrgyzstan decreased foreign trade turnover with the member-states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) by 16.7%, the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov declared.
The foreign trade turnover with the EAEU totaled $1.744 billion. In January-November 2016 the import supplies reached $3.62 billion, down by 0.1%. Imports reduced, due to lowering of meat products deliveries, 3.2 times, and vehicles – 1.7 times, he said.
The increase of imports from the countries which were not members of the EAEU was observed. In particular, the supplies from the People’s Republic of China increased 1.5 times, Turkey – by 12.2%, and the USA – 1.3 times.
The list of major countries-importers included China (37.6% of the general imports), Russia (22.9%), Kazakhstan (15.6%), Turkey (4.8%), the USA (4%), Uzbekistan (1.7%), and Germany (1.6%).
At the same time, the Prime Minister added that in the reporting period the exports declined by 1.5% YoY, and totaled $1.269 billion. (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
