Ukrainian farmers will be able to receive state support for the purchase of complex mineral fertilizers of domestic production. Agricultural producers will be able to receive up to 1000 UAH per hectare of non-refundable state aid for the purchase of complex mineral fertilizers of Ukrainian production at the rate of up to 7 tons per 100 hectares of cultivated land.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a corresponding resolution.
The decision is aimed at stimulating the use of complex mineral fertilizers of domestic production by farmers, supporting the Ukrainian chemical industry and strengthening the food security of the state.
Mineral fertilizers remain one of the key factors in ensuring crop yields and stable food production. In 2025, the total consumption of mineral fertilizers in Ukraine exceeded 5.2 million tons, of which about 63% was provided by imports. At the same time, domestic producers are working under significant challenges associated with military risks and damage to production infrastructure.
“It is extremely important for Ukraine to maintain and develop its own production of resources necessary for the agricultural sector. Mineral fertilizers directly affect crop yields, soil fertility, the competitiveness of Ukrainian products and the food security of the state. The adopted changes will contribute to supporting domestic fertilizer producers, providing farmers with the necessary resources and increasing the efficiency of state support for agriculture,” stressed Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine Taras Vysotsky.
The government continues to improve state support instruments for the agricultural sector, directing them to strengthen the stability of the Ukrainian economy, develop domestic production, and ensure food security under martial law. (Economy Ministry)
