In March, the general fund of the state budget received UAH 169.4 billion in taxes and fees controlled by the State Tax Service. The plan was implemented by 101.9%. This was reported by the Acting Head of the State Tax Service Lesya Karnaukh on her Facebook page.
In addition, the budget received UAH 3.1 billion. Lesya Karnaukh noted that the beginning of the year turned out to be extremely difficult – Russian attacks, lack of heat, destroyed enterprises. All this could not but affect tax revenues.
“But we persevered, changed the dynamics for the quarter. Constant dialogue with business, prompt response to its requests, increased fight against shadow economy, improved services – all of this in the complex gave results,” Lesya Karnaukh emphasized.
Revenues for March exceeded last year’s figure by UAH 9.3 billion (+5.8%).
Key indicators:
– Personal income tax: 33.5 billion UAH (105.0% of plan implementation);
– Corporate profit tax: 89.1 billion UAH (107.7% of plan implementation);
– Excise on imported and manufactured goods: 16.2 billion UAH (106.4% of plan implementation).
Despite the positive dynamics, there are objective reasons that affect the implementation of other indicators, in particular, VAT revenues.
The overfulfillment made it possible to significantly improve the situation for the quarter.
In the first three months of this year, the execution of the general fund of the state budget is 100.6%. Revenues to the general fund amounted to UAH 341.9 billion. This is UAH 2.1 billion higher than the planned indicators.
“We are aware that working in conditions of full-scale war, developing business and paying taxes is extremely difficult. And we are grateful to everyone who clearly understands that paying taxes in conditions of war is about the life of the country, its protection and defense,” the head of the State Tax Service emphasized.
She noted that the State Tax Service had already reduced the number of inspections and shifted its focus to analytical work and a risk-based approach. The service is developing electronic services, simplifying administrative processes and reducing the number of cases of blocking tax invoices. Special attention is paid to the digitalization of processes.
According to Lesya Karnaukh, the tax service is systematically changing the philosophy of interaction with payers, focusing on openness and partnership. (State Tax Service)
