22 entrepreneurs will access grants worth up to 2 million lei (100,000 euros) on behalf of the state, in order to optimize the consumption of gas and electric energy through replacing obsolete equipment or by setting alternative energy sources.
The grants will be provided within the Upgrading and Energy Efficiency Programme, managed by the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA). The contracts on financing were signed in Chisinau on March 3.
The overall value of the investments as a result of the implementation of the projects selected is of about 52 million lei, of which the non-refundable financing is worth about 22 million lei. Fifteen out of all companies work in the rural environment and seven – in the urban one.
ODA Director Dumitru Pintea congratulated the beneficiary companies, noting that the investments they would make, along with the financial support on behalf of the state, would bring value added to the company and would have economic affects in a short period.
Thirteen companies out of all businesses will access grants worth up to 1.5 million lei for energy efficiency. This sum is worth a half of the investment’s cost, with the money used for purchasing photovoltaic panels to generate electric energy. Another nine enterprises will benefit from non-refundable financing of 50% of the investment for endowing the business with technology.
During seven months of implementation of the Upgrading and Energy Efficiency Programme, 63 economic agents have accessed non-refundable financing worth about 554 million lei. The submission of applications for accessing the financial support in form of grant is made online in continuous regime. (Moldpres/Business World Magazine)
