Kyrgyzstan completely broke the agreement with Russia on the construction of Uppernaryn cascade and Kambarata HPP-1, National Energy Holding Company JSC reported.
The agreement signed on September 20, 2012 expired on August 9. Currently, Kyrgyz and Russian parties are negotiating to resolve all economic issues that have arisen in the period of the agreements, including the transfer to the Kyrgyz party the shares of the Russian side in companies that were engaged in the construction and operation of hydroelectric power plants.
The Kyrgyz party considers it necessary to promptly conduct an independent international audit to determine the cost of the Russian party in the period of the agreements. After that Kyrgyzstan will offset costs. Simultaneously, the government of the Kyrgyz Republic is looking for new potential investors for projects. (24.kg/Business World Magazine)
