Wage arrears worth UAH 54.8 million have been repaid to employees of the state-owned Mykolaiv Shipbuilding Plant, the Ukrainian presidential press service has reported.
During his working visit to Mykolaiv region on July 17 President Volodymyr Zelensky was informed about wage arrears to employees of the enterprise. The head of state instructed Director General of the Ukroboronprom State Concern Pavlo Bukin to urgently resolve this issue.
On July 23 Ukroboronprom reported that the president’s instruction had been fulfilled. According to the report, UAH 54.8 million was transferred to the accounts of the state enterprise to pay wage arrears.
In addition, UAH 31.7 million was sent for compensation for untimely paid salaries, as well as taxes and fees related to the calculation of labor costs. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
