Industrial prices in Ukraine after a rise of 5.3% caused by the liberalization of the natural gas market by the Ukrainian government left unchanged in June, the State Statistics Service has reported.
According to its data, in annual terms (compared to the same period of 2015) the growth of wholesale prices in June slowed to 15.7% from 16.4% in May.
Prices of fuel and metal products grew most of all – by 6.8% and 5.1%, while in electricity, gas, steam and conditioned air production they fell by 3%, coke production – by 3.6% and coal – by 8.1%.
Prices of goods in mining and quarrying in June decreased by 2%. Prices in natural gas production fell by 1.8% and metal ores – by 1.4%. Prices of crude oil grew by 3.4% in June.
Prices in processing industry grew by 1.5%. Prices in fuel production rose by 6.8%, metal production – by 5.7%, key pharmaceutical goods – 0.8%, rubber and plastic and other non-metallic products – by 0.5%. Price in vehicle, trailers and semitrailers and other vehicles production fell by 2.1% and chemicals – by 0.8%.
Prices in production of food, beverages and tobacco rose by 0.3%. Prices in production of tobacco grew by 2.4%, flour products and cereals – by 1.4%, meat and meat products – 1.1%, beverages – 1%. Prices in sugar production fell by 2.5%, butter and fats – 1% and dairy products – 0.8%.
Heating tariffs decreased by 3.3% and electricity – by 3%. (Interfax/Business World Magazine)
