In January-May the foreign trade balance of Ukraine in goods and services reduced to a deficit of $1.647 billion, a decrease of 9.2% compared with the deficit figures for the same period last year ($1.813 billion), the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) informed.
It is noted that in the reporting period the deficit of foreign trade in goods decreased by 1.9% YoY, to $2.392 billion, and the surplus of foreign trade in services increased by 39.5%, to $745 million.
In particular, in May the foreign trade deficit reached $504 million, including the deficit of trade in goods – $702 million, and the surplus of foreign trade in services – $198 million. (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
