Ten additional flights between Vilnius and Frankfurt have been cancelled at the start of the week after Lufthansa pilots called a strike.
The disruption follows the cancellation of six return flights last Friday due to a walkout by the airline’s cabin crew.
Martynas Jaugelavicius, a spokesman for Lithuanian Airports, said four flights were grounded on April 13 alone – two arrivals and two departures.
“Due to the Lufthansa staff strike announced for April 13-14, all of the carrier’s flights between Vilnius and Frankfurt have been cancelled for this period,” he said.
A further six flights, three in each direction, are set to be cancelled on April 14. (LRT)
