The Government has appointed a new Supervisory Board of Naftogaz Ukrainy NJSC based on the recommendations of the Nomination Committee. The selection process was conducted in a fully transparent and competitive manner, taking into account the professional merits of the candidates. This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
The supervisory board consists of six members.
Independent international members are: Robert Schlesinski, Erik Rasmussen, Duncan Nightingale, Tor Martin Anfinnsen. All of them are experts with many years of experience in the energy sector:
– Robert Sleszynski (Poland) – expert in corporate governance and energy sector;
– Eric Rasmussen (Denmark) – expert in energy and infrastructure financing, particularly at the EBRD. He has worked on corporate governance reform of Ukrainian state-owned enterprises, particularly at Naftogaz Ukrainy;
– Duncan Nightingale (Canada) – an expert specializing in operational management of energy asset extraction and development. He headed the supervisory board of PJSC Ukrnafta, where he implemented OECD practices;
– Tor Martin Anfinnsen (Norway) – held senior positions at Norwegian energy giant Equinor. As a current member of the Supervisory Board of Naftogaz Ukrainy, he ensures continuity in management and the implementation of European standards.
State representatives on the Supervisory Board are:
– Anna Artemenko – Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine;
– Kostiantyn Maryevych – State Secretary of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine (re-elected member of the Board).
“At the same time, we are completing the renewal of the supervisory boards of the entire energy sector – Centrenergo, Ukrainian Distribution Networks, Ukrenergo, Ukrhydroenergo, Operator of the Gas Transmission System of Ukraine, and others,” Yulia Svyrydenko stressed. (Government portal)
