A new Cinnabon venue has opened at the Bratislava’s Nivy bus station, marking the American chain’s first bakery restaurant in the city.
The Washington state-based brand is best known for its cinnamon rolls and for choosing high-traffic locations. Its decision to open at the Nivy complex – a bus station combined with a shopping centre – therefore comes as little surprise.
Alongside its signature cinnamon desserts and rolls, Cinnabon also offers a range of hot and cold drinks. Visitors should be prepared for relatively high prices, however. A classic cinnamon roll costs between EUR 4.50 and EUR 4.90, while smaller versions are available from EUR 3.70. A Cinnamon Roll Cappuccino is priced at EUR 5.20 or EUR 5.50, and an espresso costs EUR 1.90.
Founded in the 1980s, the company has grown into a global brand, operating more than 2,100 locations across 60 countries. In Bratislava, the venue appears busiest between 16:00 and 18:00.
Whether the chain will gain a strong foothold in the Slovak capital – and potentially expand to additional locations – remains to be seen. (The Slovak Spectator)
