The Government has allocated UAH 1.6 billion from the Fund for the Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression to the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine. The funds will be directed to the eVidnovlennia programme.
The funds will be distributed as follows:
– Nearly UAH 1.3 billion for housing certificates to purchase new homes to replace those destroyed, enabling 839 individuals to acquire new housing;
– UAH 335 million for payments to support reconstruction on privately owned land, benefiting 152 individuals.
“The eVidnovlennia programme is about providing real assistance to people who have lost their homes due to the war. We are doing everything to ensure the compensation process is as swift, clear, and transparent as possible. These additional funds will enable hundreds more Ukrainian families to start a new life in their own new homes,” emphasised Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine and Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Kuleba.
These funds will also be used for compensation for destroyed housing in areas of active hostilities. This has been made possible through a recently introduced remote housing assessment mechanism, which allows the documentation of destruction without requiring on-site visits by commissions.
The state compensation programme eVidnovlennia continues its active work. For over two years, Ukrainians have been receiving payments to repair housing damaged due to russian aggression or to purchase new homes to replace those destroyed. The programme also provides financial compensation for rebuilding homes on privately owned land.
Since the programme’s inception, approximately 120,000 families have received compensation. Over 97,000 families have received assistance for restoring damaged housing, totalling UAH 9.7 billion.
Additionally, nearly 22,000 certificates have been issued for purchasing new homes to replace destroyed ones, amounting to UAH 31.7 billion.
Concurrently, payments for reconstruction on privately owned land are ongoing – under the first tranche, 580 applicants received funds totalling UAH 713.6 million. (Government portal)
