The Government has decided to allocate UAH 4.3 billion to support Ukrzaliznytsia. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal during a session of the Cabinet of Ministers on May 27.
“Ukrzaliznytsia provides free transportation at the request of the military command, evacuation operations and transportation from the territory of hostilities,” said Denys Shmyhal.
He stressed that the stability of rail transport was a crucial element of national security and defence.
The Prime Minister also noted that the decision taken by the Government demonstrated support for passengers, as despite the increase in all costs, tariffs remained unchanged. (Government portal)
