Since the beginning of the full-scale war, nearly UAH 37.9 billion has been transferred from the special account opened by the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) for defense needs. In November, over UAH 57.3 million was allocated.
“On December 1, the balance on the special account, which the National Bank opened to support the defense forces on February 24, 2022, amounted to over UAH 1.7 billion. Over the past month, nearly UAH 230 million was deposited into the special account,” the bank said.
It is noted that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, over UAH 39.4 billion in equivalent has been deposited into the special account. More than UAH 18.8 billion in equivalent has been received from abroad in foreign currency.
Funds have been transferred by both Ukrainian citizens and businesses, as well as the international community, including from the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Poland, Switzerland, Norway, Australia, France, Canada, Bulgaria, Hong Kong and other countries. (Ukrinform)
