In November, farmers received almost 25,000 hectares of agricultural land surveyed and cleared by deminers for use. In total, since the beginning of the year, deminers have surveyed more than 309,000 hectares of land as part of the priority demining programme.
“In November, our deminers passed the milestone of 300,000 hectares of agricultural land surveyed since the beginning of the year. More than 280,000 hectares have already been handed over to farmers. The deminers have done an extraordinary job on the lands liberated by Ukrainian defenders in Kherson region. Since the beginning of the year, they have inspected more than 250,000 hectares in the region, of which almost 245,000 hectares are already available for farmers to use,” said Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine.
Most of the land has been surveyed in the following regions:
– Kherson region: 20,700 hectares in November, 251,100 hectares since the beginning of the year;
– Mykolaiv region: 4,400 hectares in November, 20,900 hectares since the beginning of the year;
– Kharkiv region: 1,000 hectares in November, 22,500 hectares since the beginning of the year. (Government portal)
