Minister of Energy of Ukraine German Galushchenko met with a delegation from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, led by EBRD Vice President Matteo Patrone, to discuss cooperation to strengthen the resilience of the power system and prepare for winter.
“We need to accelerate the implementation of projects as much as possible to support Ukraine’s energy system during the next heating season. The EBRD is one of our key partners, and our joint efforts should deliver tangible results for the stable operation of the energy system,” the minister said.
In particular, the parties discussed current projects to implement distributed generation with the participation of state-owned companies.
Special attention was paid to the possibility of deepening cooperation in the nuclear industry. In this context, they discussed the financing of projects to improve nuclear safety.
The parties also discussed the corporate governance of key energy sector companies, including the appointment and election of members of their supervisory boards and management. (Government portal)
