At a weekly meeting on veterans’ policy chaired by Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories, an initiative from the Space of Opportunities NGO was presented.
The idea is that veterans and their families, even in the most remote communities, should receive high-quality and professional services. This includes paperwork, benefits and social guarantees, legal advice, psychosocial support, etc.
For this purpose, special mobile teams have been set up under the Coalition of Veterans’ Spaces.
First and foremost, these teams provide such services at the level of district centres, towns and villages. The teams include lawyers, psychologists and case managers.
Since mid-December 2023, such mobile teams have been providing support to veterans and their families in Mykolaiv, Odesa, Lviv, Vinnytsia and Khmelnytskyi regions.
Ukrainian business is also supporting the Government in this area. Ukrnafta has purchased and donated special vehicles for these mobile teams, says Serhii Koretskyi, the company’s CEO.
Similar mobile teams will soon start working in Sumy, Chernihiv and Rivne regions.
“I would like to thank everyone who creates and implements such projects. I would also like to thank everyone who financially supports such important initiatives for veterans,” the Deputy Prime Minister concluded. (Government portal/Business World Magazine)
