Income tax revenues from private people who leased real estate increased by 37.5% YoY in 2023 and amounted to 57.6 million lei (2.88 million euros).
According to the data of the State Fiscal Service (SFS), in 2023, 24,763 real estate leasing contracts were registered, up by 16.6%.
Following the voluntary compliance, 2,453 persons were identified who leased real estate in 2023.
Under the legislation, citizens who rent real estate are obliged to register the lease contracts with the SFS and pay a tax of 7% of the income. (Moldpres/Business World Magazine)
