President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu had a meeting on August 8 with a delegation of the State of Israel headed by Minister of Foreign Affairs Eli Cohen. The dialogue covered the bilateral agenda, economic cooperation and security developments in our region, the presidential press service reported.
Maia Sandu encouraged speeding up the signing of the bilateral agreement on legal cooperation on the civil and criminal side, which was being prepared by the Ministries of Justice of both countries.
The head of state also emphasized the importance of joint efforts in the fight against corruption. They also approached the extension of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Government of the State of Israel on the temporary employment of workers from our country in Israel, as well as the developments on the bilateral signing of the Agreement on Exchange of Driving Licenses.
The President said: “We are interested in boosting cooperation in the agricultural sector in order to increase exports to the Israeli market. We are interested in drawing investments from Israel in the agricultural production and processing. The officials addressed the intensification of cooperation in the tourism, including the establishment of several direct flight routes”. (Moldpres/Business World Magazine)
