Ukroboronprom State Concern and Germany’s Rheinmetall concluded an agreement on strategic partnership through the creation of a joint venture.
“Ukroboronprom State Concern and one of the global defense industry leaders – German company Rheinmetall – concluded a strategic partnership agreement. The goal is to strengthen the defense industry of Ukraine and its national security through the creation of a joint venture,” the press service of Ukroboronprom posted on Facebook.
According to the agreement, the basis and first step for cooperation is the maintenance and repair of armored vehicles transferred to Ukraine. In the future, the partners intend to jointly produce Rheinmetall products in Ukraine, as well as jointly develop promising units of weapons and military equipment on the basis of a newly created joint venture with the participation of Ukrainian and German specialists.
It is emphasized that the start of the joint venture is planned for mid-July. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
