Gourds will be sown on Kherson region’s right bank liberated from the Russian army, a member of the Kherson Regional Council, Serhiy Khlan, has reported on Facebook.
Khlan said that farmers had started spring fieldwork where demining had been carried out. According to him, just over 10% of the agricultural land on the right bank has been cleared of mines. Farmers will not be able to work on the territory along the Dnipro River.
“It is rather symbolic and very significant that, especially after the liberation of Osokorivka, Kherson watermelons will be produced this year,” Khlan assured.
