Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita, in the beginning of a Cabinet meeting on December 28, informed that the government building would be disconnected from power supply on December 29, as a token of solidarity with the people of Ukraine, which was suffering from Russia’s attacks against its critical infrastructure.
“This is an act of support, through which we express solidarity with Ukraine, showing that we are with the Ukrainian people in this period, who have to bear cold and blackout, because of the bombardments of Russian missiles against the civil infrastructure,” the PM said.
Such practices of symbolical disconnection from power supply are implemented by governments of many states. (Moldpres/Business World Magazine)
