The government has offered small and medium-sized businesses a number of support programs to help restore losses caused by the war. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Tetyana Berezhna during a speech at the Interregional Business Forum in Ivano-Frankivsk.
“Ukrainian business has shown great resilience during the war and the Government is ready to provide it with maximum support to recover. We want everyone to feel that business and government are one team,” said Tetyana Berezhna.
According to the Deputy Minister, today the Government, in cooperation with international partners, has offered entrepreneurs a number of programs for recovery and development. In particular, it is the provision of preferential lending – any Ukrainian business that needs support can get a loan of up to UAH 60 million at 0% during martial law. Extremely popular among entrepreneurs are grant programs under the government eRobota project for the establishment and expansion of business, which have already provided grants of almost half a billion hryvnias, as well as mini-grants from international organizations, in particular for relocated enterprises.
Thus, with the support of the state, 78 enterprises have moved their production facilities to Ivano-Frankivsk region within the framework of the relocation program, 56 of them have already resumed work and are fully operational. Also in great demand in the region is the Vlasna Sprava grant program, providing microgrants of up to UAH 250,000 to start or develop an own business. Today, almost a hundred entrepreneurs of Ivano-Frankivsk region will receive such irrevocable financial support. At the same time, they will create 200 new jobs in the implementation of their projects.
In addition, Government’s decisions have improved the regulatory environment – the declarative principle of business operation has been introduced, the need to obtain the vast majority of permits and licenses for entrepreneurs has been abolished, and a moratorium on business inspections has been introduced. All this reduces the burden on entrepreneurs and ensures their stable operation under martial law.
“The synergy of business and government is very important, and I urge us to dialogue. We must talk about how to become even more effective,” Tetyana Berezhna concluded. (Government portal/Business World Magazine)
