In 2022, the trade turnover between Georgia and Hungary has doubled, which emphasises the “intensified” relations between the two countries in economy, Georgian economy minister Levan Davitashvili has said.
Davitashvili said that after the “long term” negotiations, an agreement on the protection of investments was signed between Georgia and Hungary, which would be officially approved upon “certain procedures”, and noted he was “sure” the new strategic cooperation agreement would also contribute to further deepening of economic relations between the countries.
The economy minister stressed that within the framework of the Georgian prime minister Irakli Garibashvili’s official visit to Hungary, a bilateral economic commission would be held to discuss “various directions” of cooperation, the government administration said. (Agenda/Business World Magazine)
