On September 29, Minister of Finance of Ukraine Sergii Marchenko met with the Vice-President of the European Investment Bank (EIB) Teresa Czerwinska.
The Deputy Minister of Finance of Ukraine Olga Zykova also took part in the meeting.
The parties discussed the financing needs of the state budget until the end of 2022 and in 2023, the post-war recovery of Ukraine and further areas of cooperation between the Government of Ukraine and the Bank.
Sergii Marchenko thanked Teresa Czerwinska for the allocation of the second assistance package from the EIB in the amount of EUR 1.59 billion for Ukraine, developed in close cooperation with the European Commission.

The assistance package in the amount of EUR 1.59 billion is a significant contribution to maintaining the overall stability of Ukraine. In particular, these funds will help restore damaged critical infrastructure,” said Sergii Marchenko.
The first part of the urgent assistance package in the amount of EUR 500 million was received by the state budget on September 14.
