Over 85% of the work carried out on several road sectors in Ialoveni district has been completed. The work process was inspected by Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Spinu, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development, the leadership of the State Road Administration (ASD) and representatives of the World Bank.
According to ASD, by rehabilitating this road, citizens’ access to a modern road infrastructure will be improved, entrepreneurial activity will be facilitated and social-economic development opportunities will be created in rural areas. The beneficiaries of this project are more than 20 thousand inhabitants from the localities of Pojareni, Costesti, Zambreni, Horesti and Tipala, Ialoveni district.
Corridor 16 rehabilitation works are a part of the Local Roads Improvement Project. To achieve this, the World Bank earmarked to the Moldovan government financial support worth $80 million, with co-financing from the Road Fund of $6.3 million.
