The Economics Ministry encourages perspectives of enhancing the competitiveness in the field of electronic industry from Moldova, according to Economics Minister Sergiu Gaibu. On July 19, the minister visited ADD Grup, a company producing smart electricity meters and smart water meters.
The goal of the visit was to discuss perspectives of development and growth of the competitiveness.
“Through its smart meters, fabricated in Moldova – electricity and water meters, ADD Grup has the goal to enhance the economic efficiency through reducing the losses of electric energy and water, as well as minimizing the operational costs, thus protecting the incomes through providing solutions of advanced metering infrastructure, both for the operator and for the end consumer,” the Economics Ministry said.
The company produces components necessary for meters and assembles them in Moldova, getting so far contracts in over 33 countries, setting smart meters in states from Europe, South Africa, Latin America, the furthest point being New Zealand. The smart metering system, called ADDAX IMS, developed by ADD Grup, helps utilities to automate the reading of data and speed up the processing of data, improve the management of energy and the quality of supply of electric energy and energy efficiency.
The company has about 300 employees and all standardization certificates necessary for producing and installation all over the world. ADD Grup is a company with an experience of almost 30 years, being leader on the market of electronic industry from Moldova. (Moldpres/Business World Magazine)
