A total of 14 Georgian wine companies participated in the international Wine and Spirits Expo held between June 30 and July 1 in Seoul, the National Wine Agency of Georgia announced.
In what is regarded as one of the largest annual wine and spirits events in the Asian region, local media interviewed Davit Tkemaladze, the Deputy Chairman of the Agency, and Otar Berdzenishvili, the Georgian Ambassador to Korea, the state body for wine promotion said.
The agency said the promotion opportunity was “of great importance for increasing the awareness of Georgian wine in Korea”, with Berdzenishvili also introducing trends of the Korean wine market with representatives of the Georgian wine companies at the occasion.
The state body has designated Korea as one of the “strategic markets” for Georgian wine companies, along with China and Japan. (Agenda/Business World Magazine)
