On June 24, the Head of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, Minister Michal Dworczyk, and the Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine, Oleksii Chernyshov, opened a temporary modular town in the hero city of Bucha, Kyiv region.
“Today we are opening a temporary town for 352 places in the hero city of Bucha. People who have lost their homes will live here. In particular, among them will also live teachers whose homes have been destroyed both in Bucha and in the surrounding settlements, and who work in a local school. This placement is temporary – the Government, regional and local authorities are now actively working on long-term options for housing as well as on restoration of damaged housing,” said Oleksii Chernyshov.
According to the minister, a total of 704 people are planned to be accommodated in modular towns in Bucha at three locations.
“In this town there are 88 living rooms, dining rooms, children’s rooms, women’s and men’s toilets and showers. This option, which we started to implement together with the Government of Poland, has already proved its convenience and optimal comfort,” said the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development.
Earlier the Prime Minister of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki together with the Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine Oleksii Chernyshov opened the first modular town for internally displaced persons in Kyiv region in Borodianka. (Government portal/Business World Magazine)
