The Cabinet of Ministers has signed the draft agreement between Moldova and Romania on the implementation of the program on technical and financial assistance, based on a non-refundable financial assistance worth 100 million euros, provided to Moldova by Romania, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The document’s goal is to consolidate the cooperation relations between the two states through boosting the cooperation in the energy sector, transport and transport infrastructure, environmental protection and combating the climate changes, public works and infrastructure, small- and medium-sized enterprises, independence of the mass media, public administration’s reform, domestic affairs, health, education, culture and heritage, research and tourism.
In the agreement’s enforcement, Romania and Moldova will take, by common consent, the measures needed for the carrying out of the projects which are to contribute to: fostering the cooperation, development of the strategic partnership for European integration and Moldova’s connection to the European Union through Romania; promoting the process of reforms in the European spirit and backing the process of Moldova’s European integration; boosting the development, reducing the economic and social disparities, as well as enhancement of Moldova’s resilience to the destabilizing factors.
The agreement is to be signed at a joint meeting of the Moldovan and Romanian governments, due in Chisinau on February 11. (Moldpres/Business World Magazine)
