The Ukrainian Ministry of Energy is not considering the issue of commercial imports from Russia and Belarus for the heating season.
“The Ministry of Energy is not considering the issue of commercial imports from Russia and Belarus for the planned passage of heating season. The Ministry of Energy has proposed the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Public Utilities that imports from Russia and Belarus be banned,” the Ministry of Energy said in a statement, Ukrinform reports.
At the same time, as to the current coal accumulation rates, the ministry noted that the schedule of accumulation, which almost doubled in August, “provides for the possibility of constant passage of the autumn-winter period in the most critical conditions.”
The ministry also noted that the issue of voluntary or compulsory restrictions of electricity consumption was not on the agenda. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
