Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has inked a new decree that aims to support the badly affected amid the pandemic spheres of public catering and tourism.
Until December 31, public catering enterprises are to be exempt from payment of land and property tax, according to the document.
Until September 1, 2023, the accrual and payment of the tourist (hotel) fee are suspended.
Public catering enterprises have been granted the right to defer repayment of arrears on turnover tax, income tax, tax for the use of water resources, land and property tax formed as of August 15, as well as fines and penalties for all taxes and fees, in the period from January 1 to July 1, 2022, in equal shares, without charging interest, with notification of tax authorities, without sending an application to local state authorities.
The resolution approved the proposal of commercial banks on additional support for customers providing services in the field of public catering. (Uzreport/Business World Magazine)
