A large-scale privatization, which is planned to replenish the state budget with UAH 12 billion, begins in August, according to Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.
“A large-scale privatization starts this month. Preparations for the auctions were discussed at a meeting with Ukrainian State Property Fund Head Dmytro Sennychenko and Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Oleh Nemchinov,” Shmyhal wrote on Telegram.
According to Shmyhal, the State Property Fund reported that the revenues from privatization in 2020 amounted to UAH 2.25 billion. This year, they plan to attract up to UAH 12 billion from auctions to the state budget, which is more than in the last five years.
The prime minister also instructed the Ministry of Economy and the State Property Fund to prepare a list of facilities for privatization for 2022-2023 within a month. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
