In June, 623 electric vehicles were purchased in Ukraine, down by almost 25% YoY.
The number of electric vehicles registered in June 2021, compared to June 2020, decreased by 27%, to 582 units, whereas commercial electric vehicles rose by 46%, to 41 units.
In June, the share of used imported cars among electric cars was 90%, compared with 94% in June 2020. In the commercial segment, only 2 electric cars were new out of 41 registered in Ukraine last month. At the same time, in June 2020, there were no new commercial electric cars in the registrations.
The most popular electric car model on the Ukrainian market was Nissan Leaf. In June, 180 Nissan Leaf cars were purchased in Ukraine.
The top five most popular cars with zero emissions registered in Ukraine in June 2021 also included Tesla Model 3 – 69 units; Chevrolet Bolt – 40 units; Tesla Model S – 30 units and Renault Kangoo Z.E – 28 units.
In January-June, 3.6 thousand electric vehicles were registered in Ukraine, up by 3.5% YoY. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
