The next meeting of the Ukraine-Georgia Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation is to be held in September, President Volodymyr Zelensky has said.
The Commission’s main task is to intensify trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, Zelensky said at a joint press conference with President of Georgia Salome Zourabichvili in Kyiv.
“I am sure that despite the coronavirus pandemic, we will intensify trade and economic cooperation this year, consolidating the positive trends of the beginning of this year, when our turnover grew by almost 25%. This will be one of the main tasks of the Ukraine-Georgia Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation. We strive to resume its activities and hold the next 10th meeting this September,” Zelensky said.
The president stressed that Georgia was an important trade partner of Ukraine in the South Caucasus region. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
