Deputy Minister of Economy – Trade Representative of Ukraine Taras Kachka took part in an online business forum entitled “Ukraine – Czech Republic: Opportunities for Cooperation between Ukrainian and Czech Business amid Global Changes”.
Among the speakers of the May 25 event were also representatives of Ukrainian and Czech diplomatic missions, relevant ministries, the leadership of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the two countries and business circles of Ukraine and the Czech Republic.
“For Ukraine, one of the important issues of integration with the European Union is the conclusion of an Agreement on Conformity Assessment and Acceptance of Industrial Products (ACAA), the so-called “industrial visa-free regime”. An important aspect for this is the establishment of direct B2B contacts and industrial cooperation between Ukrainian and European companies. We have successful long-term cooperation with Czech companies and strive to deepen business ties in both industrial and other sectors of the economy,” Kachka said.
He noted that the Ukrainian government was making every effort to support business ideas and projects developed in partnership between Ukrainian and European companies, including Czech ones. In addition, Ukraine’s priority is intergovernmental cooperation to strengthen interaction in the industrial sphere and promote Ukrainian industrial goods to European markets.
The participants also discussed the state, short-term prospects and priority areas of Ukrainian-Czech economic cooperation, as well as investment, export potential and business climate of both countries. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
