Samarkand air harbor is about to become a major tourist hub. The entire airport is soon to receive a program which is expected to systematize the most complex system of the commissioning of a new terminal.
The project company Air Marakanda, together with specialists from Munich International Airport (Germany) and Istanbul International Airport (Turkey), is working on the implementation of a unique program for Uzbekistan ORAT – a methodology for operational readiness, commissioning and transfer of operational activities to a new infrastructure.
According to experts, this system will ensure the introduction of advanced technologies in the field of operating airports, satisfy the demand of airlines, passengers and the population of the republic, and also transform the international airport “Samarkand” into a major transport and tourist hub.
